Mrs. Audrey Schinke

Schinke, Audrey J., Age 85, of Lyons, passed away at her home with loving family by her side on Thursday, February 16, 2012. She was born in Elkhorn on June 10, 1926. She had spent her early life in the Lake Como area. On January 23, 1945, she married Howard Schinke whom preceded her in death on April 2, 1988. Audrey was a homemaker most of her life and for a short time worked as a secretary for her husband Howard's Septic cleaning company. In Elkhorn she visited the Senior Center and volunteered at V.I.P. Services. Audrey enjoyed collecting dolls, knitting and crocheting and any type of crafting. She loved the companionship of her two cats and spending time on the front porch. Audrey is survived by three loving daughters: Linda (Joseph) Eisenbart, Dorothy (Frank) Meyer and Diane (Lee) Welker, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her dear “Grandma Grey”. Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 2:30 PM. Visitation on Monday from 1-2:15 PM. Burial following services in Hudson Cemetery.
