Dhennin, Bernice J. Age 69 of Waterford passed away with family at her side on Saturday July 19, 2008 at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Bernice was born in Racine November 25, 1938 the daughter of the late Nick and Jennie (nee. Wiza) Chilla. She spent her early life in Sturtevant. Graduated from Union Grove High School in 1956 and on June 22, 1957 she was united in marriage to Charles Dhennin at St. SebastianÂ’s Church in Sturtevant. Bernice worked for Gettys Mfg. Racine, Stein Gardens and Gifts in Vernon and was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed volunteering for church luncheonÂ’s and picnics. BerniceÂ’s hobbies included Crafts, CasinoÂ’s, cruises, gardening, ice-skating, roller blading and the holidays, especially Christmas! Bernice is survived by loving husband Charles, One daughter: Luann (Randy) Slater of Ohio, Two sons: Michael (Donna) of Town of Dover and Kevin (Lisa) of Florida. Grandchildren: Erin, Heather & April Dhennin, Tony & Justin Slater, Charles, Jennifer, Gregory and Nicholas Dhennin. Great-Grandchildren: Scott, Kearstin, and MaKayla & Makenzi Slater. Sisters Caroline Jarstad of Florida & Agnes Klasinski of Illinois, Brothers Chet (Evelyn) Chilla of Stevens Point, Richard (Connie) Chilla of Cecil, Wisconsin, Karl (Jean) Ciborowski of Racine & Frank (Dorothy) Ciborowski of Greenfield. Further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her Sister: Clara Chilla, Brothers: Al (Alice) Ciborowski & Raymond Chilla, Mother in law: Veronica Hessling, Father-in-law: Charles L. Dhennin ,brothers in law: Dell Jarstad, Ed Klasinski Memorial Gathering on Saturday July 26, 11-1 PM with services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials suggested to American Cancer Society, Make-A-Wish foundation or charity of choice.
