Chapman, Evelyn Marie of Waterford, went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2008, surrounded by loved ones at home after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 28, 1934 in Baldwin Township, Michigan to Paul F. and Helen M. (nee. Ring) Lancour. On May 14, 1955 she married David E. Chapman. After moving to the area, Evelyn attended high school in East Troy, Elkhorn and graduated from Burlington High School. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. In her younger days she enjoyed driving stock car and waterskiing. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed the fellowship. She enjoyed estate sales, antiques and shopping. Evelyn was a born again Christian and loved the Lord dearly. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, David and their two children, David B. (Teddy) Chapman of Roseville, CA and Dianna (David) Rickert of Elgin, IL and three grandchildren, Quinn, Rebecca and Raquel Rickert. She is also survived by three sisters, Delores Artz (deceased husband Harry) of Burlington, Arbell Miles (deceased husband Joseph) of Florida, and RoseAnn (Joe) Trutwin of Florida, and by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her Mother Helen, Father Paul and one brother Paul. Services will be held Saturday October 25th at 11:00 AM at Community United Methodist Church, 455 S. Jefferson Street, Waterford. Visitation in Church on Saturday from 9-11 AM. Luncheon will follow services in church. Private Family burial will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. In lieu of Flowers, memorials are suggested to Community United Methodist Church or English Settlement Methodist Church or Aurora VNA Hospice of Lake Geneva.
