Mr. Harold Hansen

March 19, 1927 — February 6, 2014

Hansen, Harold J., Age 86, of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Harold was born in Milwaukee on March 19, 1927, the son of the late Emil and Laura (Annen) Hansen. He spent his early life on the farm in West Allis. Harold graduated Pius High School in 1945 and then joined the Army, serving his country during World War II. On May 3, 1958 he married Lillian E. Remmers. The couple resided in the Tichigan Lake area. Harold was retired from Allis Chalmers in West Allis where he was a Data Processing Supervisor. He was a Charter Member of St. Clare Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Tichigan VFW Post 10441 and the Green Valley Sportsman’s Club. Harold was an avid Packer fan and he loved to listen to Polka music. He especially enjoyed spending much of his time watching his grandkids play ball. He was fondly known as “Baseball Grandpa”. Harold is survived by two daughters: Gayam (Tom) Winski of Tichigan and Trisha (Jon) Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Angela (Bob Albee) Winski, Nicholas Winski, Jona (Vince) Mancuso, Andrea (Vince) Conley, Jordan Winski and Adam Winski; great-grandchildren: Tristan, Trentn, Tucker, Ryder and Giovanni; brothers and sister: John Hansen, Richard (Peggy) Hansen and Laura Parfitt. Harold is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Lillian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014, 11:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7616 Fritz Street, Wind Lake, WI. Visitation IN CHURCH on Saturday morning from 9-10:45 AM. Burial at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
