Jerome F. Norton

Norton, Jerome Francis, “Nuts”, age 82, of Waterford, passed away with his loving family by his side on July 19, 2016 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Boland Hall, Union Grove. Jerome was born in Burlington, WI on December 24, 1933 to Francis and Marie (nee. Criske) Norton. Jerome is a lifelong resident of Waterford and after high school he served his country in the Army from 1956-1958. After returning home in 1958 married Juanita Hilden on June 3, 1961. Jerome was a multi tasker in the family business, Norton Masonry also 35 years at J.W. Peters. He also loved a multitude of activities, some of which were watching birds, woodworking, playing cards, bowling and bartending at Waterford Bowl but most of all he loved watching the Green Bay Packers.

Jerome is survived by two daughters: Lisa (Bryan) Ray, Heather (Tim) Goetz; one son: Tony (Michele) Norton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother: Daniel (Pat) Norton; two sisters: Diane (Ken) Guenther, Carol (Dave) Smith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Robert and Kenneth Norton and one niece: Beth Guenther.

A celebration of Jerome’s life will be held on July 30, 2016 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Marty’s Restaurant, 201 W. Main St., Waterford, WI. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Jerome’s family suggest memorials to the “Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove”
