Mr. Stanley Mainus

Mainus, Stanley J., age 72, of Waterford, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 2, 2010. Stan was born in Wisconsin July 30, 1937 the son of the late Stanley M. and Alice (nee.Weithaus)Mainus and spent his early life in Waterford, attended St. Thomas Graded School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Burlington. Stan married Frances Schmidt at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on October 9, 1965. He was a line crew leader and supervisor for Wisconsin Electric, from where he retired. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the United States Army Reserve. He loved to hobby farm and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. Stan is survived by his wife Fran, two sons: Steven (Mary) of Muskego and Tom (Dawn) of Waterford, one granddaughter: Courtney. He is further survived by his brother: Jim (Marilyn) Mainus and sister: Judy Fonk, sisters and brothers in law: Betty (Don) Felten, Barbara (Marv) Saltzmann, Jim (Pam) Schmidt, Rosie (Russ) Storm, Rick (Chris) Schmidt and Randy Storm, along with other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, sister: Margaret Mainus; sister in law: Sharon Storm and brother in law: Jerry Schmidt. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 9 to 11 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 S. First St. in Waterford. Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Thomas Church. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc.
