A. Dean Stapleton

Alvie Dean Stapleton Age 58 of Rochester passed away with family at his side Tuesday April 7th at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Dean was born March 18, 1951 in Swainsboro Georgia the son of Cecil and Edna (nee. Scarboro) Stapleton. He graduated High School in Georgia and later graduated from Ladysmith College of Wisconsin with a Business Degree. Dean proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet Nam war and also during the 1st Persian Gulf War. He was also a past member of the National Guard serving the 128th refueling wing and reserves of Milwaukee. On July 15, 1973 in Waukesha he married Mary S. Stippich. The couple lived the first few years in Italy, Florida and Racine and settling in Rochester the past 30 years. Dean was a purchasing agent for the steel industry for many years, he also had is own company working in steel sales and distribution. DeanÂ’s first love was his family, his second love was Golf, and he supported and played in 3 separate Golf leagues and loved to play as often as he could at the Browns Lake Golf Course of Burlington. Dean was currently running for the Village of Rochester April 7th election board position, he was a former Village Board Member, and a past member of the Rochester Volunteer Fire Company. Dean leaves behind his loving wife: Mary, two sons: Kelly (Leah) of Oak Creek and their daughter: Sophia, along with his son: Patrick Stapleton of Glendale. His mother Edna survives him from Georgia along with his siblings: Brenda Stapleton of Savannah, Georgia, Carlos (Carlotta) Stapleton of Atlanta GA, Dickie Stapleton of Atlanta GA, Wanda (Luis) Diaz of Guyton Georgia and Vickie Segura of Alabaster Alabama. Further survived by sisters/brothers in law: Robert (Christine) Stippich, John (Sandie) Stippich and George (Janet) Jordan. Also survived by dear friend Rosita Harnisch,his nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by his father Cecil. Memorial services will take place Monday April 13th 2009 6:00 PM in the funeral home with Father Dean Marek officiating. Memorial gathering and visitation with the family 3:30-6:00 PM. Private Inurnment at Rochester Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Waukesha Memorial Oncology,725 American Avenue, Waukesha Wisconsin 53188 or ChildrenÂ’s Hospital and Health Systems Foundation, Mail Station 3050, P.O.
