Ann J. Long (Puschnig) of Lady Lake, FL (formerly of Waterford, WI), 86, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at LindenGrove, New Berlin, WI.
She is survived by 6 of her 7 children, Denise (Herb) Genthe, Dennis (Kris), Dale (Cindy), David, Diane (Randy) Miller, and Donna (Liz) Doan, 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Dennis and their son Dana.
Ann was born and raised in West Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Martin L. and Helen C. Puschnig (Ratz).
She met the love of her life Dennis Long while working at Harnishfeger. Mom always said it was "Love at first sight" and from that moment she knew he was the man she wanted to marry.
For many years Ann enjoyed working at the Cotton Picker Restaurant where she used her skills in the kitchen preparing tasty muffins, salads, and homemade dressings. She made many friends there and remained friends over the years.
After their 7 children left the nest, they retired to Lady Lake, Florida in1988 to escape the cold Wisconsin winters.
During retirement they enjoyed being members of a square dance club, traveling in their RV around the U.S., once all the way to Alaska and also enjoyed many cruises together. As a couple they loved riding the many roller coasters they crossed in their travels and even kept a list of which of them that they had ridden.
Ann was a graduate of West Milwaukee High School and loved coming back to Wisconsin for the high school reunions to see her former classmates, family and friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.
