Mrs. Barbara E. Saltzmann

Saltzmann, Barbara Ellen (Barb), passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital at the age of 78. Barb was born April 25, 1938 on the family farm to William and Stella Schmidt. She was a lifelong resident of Waterford, graduating from Waterford High School. She married the love of her life, Marvin, on August, 20, 1960. They remained devoted to each other until Marvin’s passing on June 13, 2013.
Barb was a member of The Red Hats and Norway Lutheran Church. She loved farming and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all!
Barb is survived by her children: JoAnn (Greg) Winski, Judy (Ken) Uhlenhake, Scott (Kim) Saltzmann, and Jill Saltzmann. Also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew (Katelyn Dilley), Andrew, Samuel, Lucas, Melanie, Weston, Courtney, Chloe, Christopher and Morgan and 1 great-grandchild: Reagan Grace. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters: Betty (Don) Felton, Fran Mainus, Jim (Pam) Schmidt, Rosie (Rusty) Storm, Rick Schmidt and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents William and Stella Schmidt, her husband Marvin, 2 infant daughters, her brother Jerry, her sister Sharon and 2 brothers-in-law: Eugene Saltzmann and Stan Mainus.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Mealy Funeral Home – 225 West Main St. Waterford, WI 53185, there will also be Visitation on Friday May 20, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Norway Lutheran Church – 6321 Heg Park Rd. Wind Lake, WI 53185 - with Services beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, family suggests memorials to Norway Lutheran Church.
