Mrs. Bernice Virginia Amann

May 6, 1933 — February 11, 2022

Amann, Bernice V. “Bernie”, age 88, of Muskego, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Bernice was a beautiful, determined woman who stayed strong with a fighting spirit through numerous medical challenges.
Bernice was born to Cecelia and Frank Grudzielanek in Milwaukee, WI. Bernice was a proud graduate of Pulaski High School class of 1951. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel P. Amann of 65 years. They were former owners of Amann’s Beach on Lake Denoon. Bernice was known for her delicious and hearty chili that sold for 75c in the tavern, her cooking daily for the staff and preparing many homemade dishes for patrons, family and friends at the many tavern picnics and parties. Bernice was an avid sewer and reader, enjoyed playing sheepshead and a good game of golf, spending winters in Florida and taking long boat rides with her husband on Lake Denoon. Bernice was a charter member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Wind Lake where she was an usher for many years and donated her crocheted prayer shawls for those in need.
Bernice will be greatly missed by her children, Danny, Lee (Katherine), Ann (Kent), and Cindy (Daryl). Bernice will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Krystin, Andy (Kristal), Mary (Megan), Cassy (Nathan), and her great-grandchildren, Allyson, Lucas, Nora, Adam, Walter, and Adeline. Also survived by her sister Virginia (Bob) Glowacki and preceded in death by her sisters Eleanor Rutzen, Patricia Holewski, Francis Hennings, and her brother Frank Grudzielanek.
A visitation will be held February 26, 2022, from 9-10:45 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in her memory starting at 11:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7616 Fritz Rd. Wind Lake. In Lieu of floral expressions of sympathy donations to the St. Clare parish are appreciated.
