Mrs. Betty Ball

Ball, Betty J. (nee. Grabowski) age 79 of Waterford passed away peacefully with her family at her side at her son’s home in Waterford January 16, 2010. Betty was born in the Town of Lake, otherwise known as Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 17, 1930 the daughter of the late Clement and Florence (nee. Horbinski) Grabowski. Betty than spent her early life on her parents farm in Crivitz Wisconsin. On June 17, 1960 in Waukegan, Illinois she married Norbert Ball, whom has preceded her in death in 1976. The couple had lived in Milwaukee for a short time after marriage, and than moved to the Tichigan Lake Area and Wind Lake Area’s. Betty had owned a Beauty Salon in Tichigan for over 20 years. She moved to the Waterford Area in the 90’s where she had worked at the Waterford Burger King up until 2008. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church of Wind Lake, and she was devoted to St. Jude. Betty raised three children and was very proud of all of her family. Survived by three children: Michael (Patrice) Ball, Thomas (Kerri) Ball and Tracy (James) Scott, Grandchildren: Justin and Eric Ball, Teena, Lucas, Aaron, T.J. and Timothy Scott. Sister: Arlene Kohls, and special niece Diane, further survived by other relatives and friends. Memorial Mass 5:00 PM Thursday January 21st 2010 at ST. Clare Catholic Church 7616 Fritz Street, Wind Lake with Reverend Aurelio Perez officiating. Memorial gathering in church Thursday 3-5 PM. Betty’s ashes will be laid to rest in a private family service next to her husband Norbert at St. Adelbert Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Ill 60606 or to the family.
