Johnson, Catherine V. Age 90 of Burlington died peacefully with family at her side Monday August 3, 2009 at Pine Brooke Pointe of Burlington. Catherine was born in Burlington September 18, 1918 the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (nee. Shanely) Eckert. She spent her early life on the farm in Burlington and was a Burlington High School Graduate. On February 9, 1946 Catherine married Russell E. Johnson whom preceded her in death June 26, 1990. She was a Medical Secretary for Burlington Clinic for many years, and also Burlington Hospital. Catherine spent all of her married life in Waterford, upon her husband’s passing she moved to Burlington and later settled into Pine Brook Pointe Assisted Living. She was a member for 50 plus years of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of Waterford. Catherine loved reading, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and helping her daughter Bev at the Kinder Kloset in Rochester. Survived by three daughters: Beverly (Wayne) Jensen, Susan (Robert) Mohr and Kristine (Michael) Moras, Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Bethany) Mohr, Kevin (Kelly) BowlesMohr, Kurtis Mohr, Robert Mohr Jr., Lukas (Kim) Jensen and Lissa Jensen, one Great-Grandaughter: Kayla BowlesMohr, further survived by sisters-in-law: Irene Eckert and Dottie Johnson, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents: William and Kathryn Eckert, Husband: Russell Johnson and brother: “Pep” Lloyd Eckert. Mass of Christian Burial Friday August 7, 2009 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 307 South First Street (Hwy 20) Waterford with Reverend Gene Doda officiating. Visitation in church Friday 9-11 AM. Burial following services at Norway Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Thomas Aquinas Church or Rochester Public Library. A heartfelt note of thanks to staff at Pine Brook Pointe assisted living, Seasons Hospice, and to Dr. Richard Ellingstad for the wonderful care and support they provided to Catherine especially in her final days.
