Mr. Darwyn D. "Mac" McGinnis

“Mac” Darwyn D. McGinnis, Pewaukee, WI, and formerly of Waterford, WI, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Mac was born June 26, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN, to Duard D. and Sybil (Cromwell) McGinnis. On July 11, 1959, he and Gladys (Jenks) were married at Spring Park, MN. Both graduated from Mound High School, Mound, MN. Mac served in the U.S. Navy Air Force for six years. He is survived by his beloved wife: Gladys, children: Craig Alan, Michael Lee, and Kathleen Diane (Dan Fulwiler). Grandchildren: Jason McGinnis, Matthew and Nicole (Hassenbein) McGinnis, Christopher McGinnis, Mishal McGinnis, Corey McGinnis and Lydia Fulwiler. Great Grandchildren: James and Mark McGinnis. Further survived by Diane (Jenks) and Robert Hutchinson, nephews Robert and Bryan Hutchinson and their families, special friends Jamie Plumb and Tamarra Stenberg, along with many other friends and relatives. Mac was preceded in death by his parents and father- and mother-in-law John and Lorraine Jenks. Faith, family, music and love of the outdoors were Mac’s priorities in life. He actively participated in Milwaukee Marriage Encounter, Community United Methodist Church, the Methodist Renewal Conference, Mt. Zion Christian School and Missions committee, and various local community organizations. Memorial services and interment with military honors will take place at Union Grove Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Tichy officiating. This date marks the 49th wedding anniversary of Mac and Gladys. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are suggested.
