October 23, 1922 — February 10, 2012

Eidsvoog, Evan M. Age 89 of Waterford passed away at Waterford Senior Living Friday February 10, 2012. Evan was born in Williston, North Dakota on October 23, 1922 the son of the late John and Helga (nee.Sorlie) Eidsvoog. Evan enlisted in the Air Force where he was an Airplane Mechanic and Gunner serving 50 Missions during World War II in the European Theatre. He attended and graduated college at North Dakota University with an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering degree. On October 16, 1956 he married Ruth Leiler in Des Moines Iowa. The couple lived in Iowa, Texas, New Berlin, WI and in Waterford since 1972. Evan worked for Texas Instruments and retired from Bear Automation in New Berlin. He was inspirational in designing electrical components and assisted with securing nine U.S. patents for his electrical designs. An avid golfer and loved to spend time with his children and grand-children. Survived by 5 children: Rick (Sandi), Miles (Linda), Evonne Elsenbroek, Renee Gall & Amy (David) Reich. Six Grandchildren: Kristin, Erin, Miles Jr., Jon, Bret and Kayla, Two sisters: Doris Montgomery and Amy (Wendell) Bauste other relatives and friends. Preceeded in death by his parents, wife Ruth, one sister and three brothers. Memorial visitation Thursday evening 5-7 PM in the funeral home. Services Friday 1:00 PM at Rochester Cemetery with Military Honors to follow. In lieu of other floral expressions of sympathy, family suggests memorials to either Disabled American Veterans, or University of North Dakota Foundation.
