Doell, Franklin Z. age 92. Passed away October 1, 2007. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Braund), dearest Father of Judith (Kenneth) Eulgen of Waterford, Grandfather of Kevin (Elizabeth) Eulgen of Burlington, Scott (Kristina Faehling) Eulgen of Lake Geneva and Patrick (Teresia) Eulgen of Waterford. Great Grandfather of Stephanie, Lucas, Michael, Cody, Sarah, Caitlin and Nolan. Brothers-in-Law; the late Lowell (Lilian) Braund, John (Frieda) Braund. Sister-in-Law; Darlene (Richard) Laux. Preceded in death by; his parents and his Sister Ruth (Kenneth) Hogan. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends. Franklin was born Oct. 20, 1914 in Milwaukee to Frank and Freda (nee Zellmer) Doell. He graduated highschool and spent one semester at Brigham Young University before leaving and pursuing employment. On Oct. 28, 1939 he married Florence Braund, at Florence’s family homestead in Norway Township. Franklin joined the Latter Day Saints in 1952. He was an Elder, and in the Bishoprich serving with many Bishops over the years. After retiring as the Director of Operations at Schoolway Transportation, he volunteered at school functions raising funds for the Apache Junction Schools in Arizona. He was also a volunteer for AARP, serving as a Regional Director in Arizona. Franklin and Florence served in the Peace Corp back in the Kennedy era, serving in Brazil from 1962-63. Above all these accomplishments, the attribute most noted by family and friends about Franklin was the love he had for his family. A special thank you to the staff at Mount Carmel-Burlington Nursing Home and VITAS Hospice for the comfort and care that they showed Franklin. Funeral visitation for Franklin will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Mealy Funeral Home (225 W. Main Street, Waterford). The Funeral Services will be on Sat., October 6, 2007 at 10:00AM at Mealy Funeral Home. Committal to follow services at West Lawn Cemetery, Racine. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society (PO Box 902 Pewaukee, WI 53072). Mealy Funeral Home 225 W.
