Chart, Gary J. Age 73 of the Town of Rochester passed away surrounded by family at Maple Ridge Nursing Home in Milwaukee on August 5, 2008. Gary was born in the family’s English settlement farm near Burlington on October 27, 1934, the son of the late J. Joseph and Marie (nee Robers) Chart. He was a graduate of the Rochester Ag School. On June 2, 1956 he married Eunice Sonderman at Sacred Heart Church in St. Martins. The couple lived in Wind Lake and settled into their Town of Rochester Farm. Gary was Deputy Superintendent of the Racine County Highway Department where he had retired. He also served the Town of Rochester on the Board of Directors. He spent some time on the Racine County Fair Board where he assisted with Tractor Pulls and other events. Gary enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports; he also spent much time on his hobby farm especially with the John Deere Tractors! Survived by loving wife Eunice, Seven Children: Ed (JoAnn), Gary W. (Tammy A.), John (Korina), Marc (Tammy L.) Jacqueline(Nick) Ahlers, Ron(Cyndie), Joanie(Howard/Chip) Stiewe. Grandchildren: Mary Jo (Adam) Jaskie, Mandie, Aaron & Devin Chart, Justin & Jenny Chart, Ryan, Megan, Jordan & Collin Chart, Nathan & Mikayla Chart, Ashley & Nicholas Squire, Josh and Jared Ahlers, Jaycie, Rylee & Braydon Chart, Zachary & Mackenzie Stiewe. Two Brothers: Fred (Rosie) & Bill (Darlene), one brother in law: Everet Kramer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Mary Jo Kramer. Mass of Christian Burial Sunday August 10th 5:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 307 South First Street (Hwy 20) Waterford. Visitation in church 2 – 5. Burial on Monday August 11th at Rochester Cemetery, meet at the Cemetery at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the family so they may distribute the gifts equally to all of Gary’s favorite charities.
