Jeanne Ann O'Connell

O’Connell, Jeanne Ann, 69, of Rochester, passed away on October 2, 2015 in Wauwatosa, WI. Jeanne was born March 24, 1946 in Burlington WI., to Raymond Seidel and Mary Ann Seidel (nee. Luetten). She spent her early life in Waterford, graduating from St. Thomas grade school and Waterford High School then graduating from Alverno College. She married the love of her life, Bob O’Connell, on June 24, 1972 at St. Thomas. She was a teacher for 25 years, both in Menomonee Falls and Waterford. Jeanne was also a charter member of the Waterford Lioness club.
Jeanne loved arts and crafts, cooking, baking and reading. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her husband Bob of Rochester: her children Steve (Meg) of Whitefish Bay, Karen of Waukesha, and Tom (Alison) of Wind Lake. She is further survived by her grandchildren Greta and Liza; brother Rick (Cindy) Seidel; nephew Tim (Jess) Seidel and niece Jill Seidel.
Jeanne was preceded in death by parents Raymond and Mary Ann Seidel.
A memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at St. Thomas Catholic Church – 305 S. First St. Waterford, WI 53185. Services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 6:00 PM also at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Private family burial will take place at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Lions Camp or the Waterford Library.
