Malchine, John L. Age 71, Town of Norway Passed away on his family’s 153-year-old farm in the Town of Norway on Sunday March 18th, 2007 at age 71. John was born to John Albert and Esther (nee. Johnson) Malchine on January 28, 1936. He was a lifelong resident and farmer in the Town of Norway. He was a 1954 graduate of the Rochester Agriculture School. In June of 1957 John married Doris M. Williams at Norway Hill Church in Wind Lake. John was a lifelong member of Norway Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wind Lake were he served on many positions, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of Badger State Ethanol, He gave 50 years of political service to his community, state and country including School Boards, Hospital Boards, Farm Bureau, Bank Boards, Current Town of Norway Chairman, past Chairman of Department of Agriculture, amongst many others. Even if you disagreed with John, He was always willing to HELP! Survived by wife of 49 years Doris, two sons living on the families farm: John Michael “Mike” Malchine and Kevin (Kelly) Malchine, six grandchildren: John-Lawrence, Katie, Ryan, Stephanie, Shannon & Shauna. Further survived by two sisters Joan (Ed) Ritter of Whitewater and Donna Hanson of the Town of Norway, and one sister-in-law: Edra (Norman) Uecker of Waterford, also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless special friends. Proceeded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law Duke Hanson. Services Friday March 23rd 1:00 P.M. at Norway Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, WI 53185 with Reverend Dennis Napton officiating. Visitation IN CHURCH: Thursday 4-8 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m.-12:30 P.M.. Burial at Norway Hill Cemetery following services on Friday.
