JOHN ZDANOWSKI, JR Went to his Eternal Life Weds Nov 25, 2009 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Edwin. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor of Waterford: three children, Linda (Jerry) Burk of Prescott Valley AZ, Michael (Nancy) of Mishawaka, IN, and Richard (Kathy) of Burlington, WI.; five grandchildren, Maurine Albright, Waterford, WI, Marcia (Larry) Bartlett, Cudahy, WI, David (Kari) Zdanowski, Bristow, VA, Andrea (Eric) Williams, Bristow VA, and Kelley Zdanowski, Lakewood, CO.; and three great-grandchildren, Ainsley Zdanowski, Ayla Zdanowski and Peyton Williams all of Bristow VA. John was born in Chicago IL on April 9, 1926 to Josephine and John Zdanowski, Sr . After service in the US Navy, he married Eleanor (Balcer) on January 24, 1948 at St. Stan’s in Racine, WI. They raised their family in West Allis as he pursued a long successful career with Union Oil. In addition to being a loving father and husband, he was a past president and active member of the Holy Name Society of St. Rita’s in West Allis. After retiring to Waterford, John was active as a lector and communion distributor at St. Thomas Aquinas in Waterford. John was an avid golfer and sports fan. The family would greatly appreciate memorials to the American Heart Association or the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin in Lake Geneva in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 30 at St. Thomas Aquinas, Waterford WI with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. A light lunch will follow the service.
