Mrs. Judith Schmidter

Schmidter, Judith H., age 64, passed away peacefully at her residence in East Troy, Wisconsin July 23, 2009. Judith was born in Southeastern Wisconsin on June 4, 1945, the daughter of the late Ralph and Martha (nee: Steinburg) Jankowsky. Judith provided service as a choir director for numerous years at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Waterford, WI. Judy was also a proud member of the German Settlement Homemakers and a former president, secretary and treasurer of the German Settlement Cemetery Association in Spring Prairie, WI. On October 29, 1966 she married George Earl Schmidter II. Judy is survived by her loving husband, George; brothers, John Jankowsky of Burlington, WI and Ralph Jankowski Jr. also of Burlington. Also, survived by sister-in-law, Della Schneider; special friend, Lu Eneright and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents;son: George III, brother: Robert and sister-in-law, Orion Schmidter. Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009, 2:00PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2665 North Street (Hwy 20) East Troy, WI with Rev. Adam Zimpelmann officiating. Visitation will be in the church Saturday 1PM-2PM. Burial to follow services at German Settlement Cemetery in Spring Prairie.
