Halbach, Kazuko T. “Kay” (nee. Tanaka) Waterford passed away on September 11, 2006 at age 71. She was born in Japan to Yoshio & Suya (nee. Honda) Tanaka on August 13, 1935. She meet her husband David Halbach while working on a military base in Japan, after marrying they lived in Waterford. Kay worked and retired from Nestle Corp in Burlington, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Waterford. Survived by daughters Deborah Halbach & Vicki(Eddie “Spike”) Roberson & grandchildren Jasmine, Jalin & Jordan. Further survived by one sister Yoshiko Kihara, One brother: Ryoich Tanaka & one brother-in-law Hideo Mitsuda all of Japan. Also survived by 2 sisters-in law: Geraldine & Cele, one brother-in-law James all of Waterford. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Halbach on Jan. 31, 200 and one sister Harumi Mitsuda. Mass of Christian burial Friday September 15, 2006 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 305 South First Street (Hwy 20) Waterford. Visitation in CHURCH Friday 9:30-10:30 A.M. Burial following Mass in St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin.
