Mr. Leroy G. Larson

Larson, Leroy G., age 85, of Kansasville, passed away peacefully at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington on May 25, 2016. Leroy was born in Burlington April 19, 1931 to Ole and Matilda (nee. Lahrman) Larson. After finishing school Leroy served his country in the Korean War. He married the love of his life Dorthea Overson on September 29, 1951 at English Settlement Church in Burlington and they lived on and worked the farm in Kansasville. Leroy was a proud member of the “Glory Singers” and a lifelong member of English Settlement Church where he enjoyed dart-ball and bowling. He also loved spending time up north, hunting and fishing at their cabin in Adams Friendship.

Leroy is survived by two daughters: Patricia (Robert Hensgen) Larson and Kathy Larson.

Preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorthea Larson; one daughter Rose; two sisters: Oleta Lartz and Katheran Larson and one brother Herbert Larson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 28, 2016 from 9-10:45 AM at English Settlement Church, 28215 Plank Rd. Burlington, WI 53105, with services starting at 11:00 AM. Public Inurnment will take place on Wednesday June 1, 2016, 10:00 AM at English Settlement Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Leroy’s family suggest memorials to English Settlement Church or to the Larson Family to be distributed as to Leroy’s wishes.
