Marion Joyce Anderson (nee: Goldsmith)

Anderson, Marion J. (nee. Goldsmith), age 89, of Wind Lake, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 2, 2018. Marion was born October 16, 1928 to Edgar and Hazel (nee. Simonson) Goldsmith in Merrillan, Wisconsin. Marion married the love of her life, George C. Anderson on October 4, 1948. They started their family in Merillan before moving to Wind Lake where they have lived for the past 62 years. Marion was a proud member of Norway Lutheran Church and volunteered with many of the church events. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards and especially playing the game Scrabble. She also loved writing letters and kept a journal of her life and of those she loved. Most of all she loved visiting with and hearing of the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
Marion is survived by three sons: Richard (Karla), Thomas (Kathy), Scott (Jenny); six grandchildren: Mindy (Kurt) Lindsley, Ken, David (Lindsay), John (Amanda), Scott and Brian; two great-grandchildren: Ruby and Gus; one brother: Charles (Toni) Goldsmith; one sister: Shirley (Ray) Matthewson; one brother in law: Lee Bradford, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband George and sister Rosie.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Rd, Wind Lake on Monday, March 19, 2018 starting at 1:00 pm, with a service beginning at 2:00 pm with Pastor Kristie Jaramillo presiding. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, Marion’s family suggest memorials to Norway Lutheran Church.
Marion’s family would like to give a special Thank You to JoAnn, Colleen, Patty G, Patty M and Pastor Kristie for their friendship, support, and love shown to Marion. You were all true blessings in her life.
