Gulbrandson, Melvin F. “Red” Age 92 of Wind Lake, passed away with his dear wife Dolly at his side at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove on Friday May 27, 2011. Born near Tichigan Lake in Racine County September 23, 1918 he attended Washington Caldwell Schools and graduated Waterford Union High School. He joined the US Army-Air Force where he had proudly served his country as a mechanic. Melvin was a Mason and Brick Layer and a member of the Brick Layer’s Local # 8 Union... On June 15, 1985 at Norway Lutheran Church he married Delores “Dolly” Antoniak. Melvin was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting and traveling with his dear wife Dolly. Survived by Dearest wife Dolly, Step-daughter Patricia “Patty” Coleman and step-son: Don (Bobbie) Hart, Seven Grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Further survived by one brother Edward Gulbrandson of California, many other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents, two daughters: Marie and Carol, One son: Kenny, Step-daughter Diane, Step son: Jerry and step-son-in-law: Jeffrey Coleman. Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Norway Lutheran Church 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake WI , Burial will follow in Norway Hill Cemetery. Visitation IN CHURCH Tuesday 9-10:45 AM. Dolly wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Oak Ridge Care Center along with family and friends that helped take care of my Melvin during these past few years.
