Patricia Jean Modrak

Modrak, Patricia Jean (nee. Klaus), age 83, of Waterford, passed away with her loving family by her side on December 23, 2015. Patricia was born in Green Bay, WI on June 04, 1932 to Alfred and Helen (nee. Stutleen) Klaus. After graduating from Seymour High School in Seymour, WI she married the love of her life, Raymond Modrak, on December 30, 1953 in Waukegan, IL. They lived in many places, Florida, Indiana, California, Wisconsin and Arkansas. They enjoyed traveling and camping. Patricia was involved in two Lutheran churches, St. Peter’s in Waterford, WI and Bella Vista Lutheran Church, Bella Vista, AR where she was a member for 22 years and a proud part of the building committee for the new church. Patricia was a fantastic seamstress making many clothes for her family. She was a devoted mother and wife and loved to cook, especially anything chocolate. Patricia also was a water aerobics instructor and participated in many other fitness activities. Patricia was very proud of obtaining her realtor license. All the things she did with her life could not compare to the love she had for her family.
Patricia is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Raymond; three children: Lauren (Stevan) Keating, Michael (Susan) Modrak, Kenneth (Denise) Modrak; one brother: Clifford (Chan) Engels; seven grandchildren: Molly, Vincent, Alison, Storm, Alexandria, August and Raquel: one great-grandchild: Harper, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred Klaus and Helen (Klaus) Engels and two brothers, Alfred Klaus and Johnny Engels.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday December 29, 2015 from 10-10:45 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 S. 6th St Waterford, WI 53185, with Services starting at 11:00 AM. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Patricia’s family would appreciate donations made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Family would like to give special thanks to all of her caregivers and Grace Hospice for the tender loving care they gave Patricia in her time of need.
