Ralph Colano Jr

Colano, Ralph Jr, age 74, of Waterford, passed away unexpectedly at his residence January 15, 2016. Ralph was born September 25, 1941 in Chicago to Ralph Angelo and Theresa Marie (nee. Urso) Colano. Ralph was a high school graduate from Nile’s Township High School in Skokie, IL. He also worked in retail sales most of his life. Ralph loved all kinds of sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears and international soccer. He also had a fondness for country music and old movies and he was an expert at sports trivia. Ralph grew up in Skokie and remained there until he was 20. He then moved to Chicago where he lived for 40 years, and resided the past 14 years in Waterford.
Ralph is survived by his brother: Vito (Margaret) Colano; his sister: Grace Perkins; nephew: Richard Colano; two nieces: Linda Colano, Susan (Jeff) Lewis; three grand-nephews: Vito Colano, Vincent Colano, and David Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Charles Perkins; and nephew: Steven Perkins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St. Waterford, with services starting at 11:30 AM with Reverend Paul Ray officiating. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Ralph’s family suggest memorials to the American Legion Post 20, Waterford, WI.
