Shirley May Rock

Rock, Shirley May (nee: Hammelev) age 80, of Waterford, passed away with her loving family by her side June 23, 2016. Shirley was born in Kenosha, WI on August 05, 1935 to Russell and Hilda (nee: Romahn) Hammelev. After completing high school at Mary D. Bradford in Kenosha she met Harold Wallace Rock. Shirley and Harold were married in Kenosha, WI February 09, 1957 before moving to Illinois, moved back to Burlington, WI in 1974, moved to Florida in 1993-2013 then came home to Wisconsin in 2013. Shirley had many jobs but the ones she loved the most were being a proud mother, wonderful homemaker, helping and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by 4 children: Lori (Dale) Muehl Waukesha, WI, Michele Rock Kenosha, WI, Gregory (Dawn) Rock Burlington, WI, Kelly (David) Rock Kansasville, WI; 7 grandchildren: Nikki Olwig, Brian Muehl, Ross Steenhagen, Jasmine Steenhagen, Chad Steenhagen, Tori Rock, Tegan Roc; 6 great grandchildren; one brother: Art (Pat) Hammelev.
Shirley’s family would like to thank everyone who helped with the care of their mom.
