Aileen Kransel

Aileen Jane Kransel, 87 years old of Elkhorn, WI passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was born September 1, 1937 to the late Matthew and Ida (Konola) Heilala in Grand Rapids, MI. She attended Champion/Beacon school in Champion, MI, as well as Union High School in Grand Rapids, MI before graduating from Waterford Union High School in 1955. On October 14, 1955, Aileen was united in marriage with her husband, Donald at the old St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford, WI.

Survivors include, her children, Steve Kransel of Cape Coral, FL, Mike Kransel of Omro, WI, and Kris (Jill) Kransel of Waterford, WI; grandchildren, Angie Kransel, Sarah (Keegan) Larson, Savannah (Tim) VanDerwerken, Levi, Dane, and Michaela (Kaleb) Evans, Klarissa, and Kenton; great-grandchild, Shylee VanDerwerken; brother, James (Colleen) Heilala of Marquette, MI. In addition to her parents, Aileen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; sons, Scott and Tim Kransel; and brothers, Delbert Paul (Suzanne) Heilala and Roy “Tim” Heilala.
