WATERFORD, Wis. — Alice Marilyn Mans (Reed) (nee Jacobson) found peace Jan. 22, 2024, at the age of 92, at her home in Waterford. She passed peacefully, in her sleep, with loved ones by her side.
She was born in 1931 to Hugo and Ina Jacobson.
Beloved wife of 43 years to the late Steven Reed (1951), and of 13 years to the late Robert Mans (1998).
Preceded in death by: husband, Steve Reed in 1994, and husband, Robert Mans in 2011; father and mother, Hugo and Ina Jacobson (Marander); brothers, John and Ralph; and sisters, Ruth and Frances.
Alice is survived by her dear sister, Esther Cram of Bellevue, Neb.; six children, David Reed (Janice Conklin), Nancy Reed, Ruthie Reed Pearce, Michael Reed, Becky Reed and Bill Reed (Jennifer Anderson); 15 grandchildren, Kenneth Reed, Roger Reed, Curtis Reed, Lisa Joe, JeriLyn Reed, Derick Wilson, Steven Reed, Trevor Wilson, Louis Reed, Jennifer Dodsworth, Angela Rucinski, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Michael Reed, Kaden Reed and Liliana Reed; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was a loving aunt to dozens and a friend to hundreds.
Alice enjoyed spending time with family, painting, bonfires, puzzles, games, mystery movies, cooking, and time with her dogs along the way. She traveled in her later years to places like Aruba, Florida, Yellowstone National Park and Canada. Small in stature, yet larger than life, she always lit up a room and had a smile for everyone.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Blood of The Lamb Ministry: 18642 Oak St, Pembine, WI.
Interment will be in Dunbar Memorial Garden in Dunbar, Wis. The Mealy-Stencel Funeral Home of Waterford, Wis., is assisting the family with arrangements.
