Carl A. Mahnke

Carl Alfred Mahnke, 90, of Waterford, Wisconsin passed away on January 30, 2024, surrounded by his family including the love of his life and wife of 66 years, Marjorie (Marge) (nee Albaugh). He is also survived by his children, Debbie Ranke (Bruce), Carl Mahnke (Tanya), Lindy Lenard (Mark), Laura Skully (Keith), Jim Mahnke (Michelle), 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was born to Gordon and Margaret on January 13, 1934, in Portage, WI. Carl served in the U.S. Navy (1952-1956) where he met Marge, a Registered Nurse, at a USO dance in Berkely, California. After a long career working for General Motors, Carl turned his life to one of service and was ordained as a Permanent Deacon of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Carl was known for his love of God and making people smile. He enjoyed Marriage Encounter, cooking, gardening, square dancing, and cards/games.

Visitation will be held 10:30AM-11:45AM Friday, February 2, 2024 at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY (305 SOUTH 1ST STREET WATERFORD, WI 53185), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12PM.
