Christine Cathrine Loew

Christine Cathrine Vogt Loew (nee Orlowski), died unexpectedly but peacefully on January 5, 2015, at the age of 76. Christine was born October 2, 1938 in Wauwatosa, WI; she was the daughter of Joseph and Helen Orlowski. She married Gordon J. Vogt Jr. in December 1956 and Robert E. Loew in June 1964. Christine retired after 22 ½ years of dedicated service to Wauwatosa School District Central Kitchen and more recently from Waterford School District Food & Nutrition Services.
Christine loved to sew, garden, and scrapbook (especially loved her Frank Sinatra scrapbooks). She also enjoyed her many casino bus trips, but most of all loved to spend time with her family.
Christine is survived by her children, Deborah (nee Vogt) (Hollis) Puza of Ixonia, Douglas Loew of Farmington MN and Diane (nee Loew) Hernitz of Waterford. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Cooper and Jaxon Loew, Cheyenne and Sierra Hernitz, relatives and friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Loew, brother Raymond Orlowski and sister Patricia Lutz.
There will be a memorial gathering for Christine on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM held at Mealy Funeral Home – 225 West Main Street, Waterford, WI 53185, services will follow at 6:00 PM at Mealy Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery – 7301 Nash Street, Milwaukee, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
