David Wasielewski

March 22, 1952 — March 3, 2026

David (Dave, Davey) Casimir Wasielewski, age 73, passed away on March 3, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with colon cancer. Dave was born on March 22, 1952, to Raymond (Bosco) George Wasielewski and Olive (Tina) Christine Wasielewski (True). He grew up on Milwaukee’s South side and remained in the area for most of his life.

Dave had an appreciation for music and enjoyed many different genres, from the sounds of Chicago and The Beatles to the powerful voices of Whitney Houston and Garth Brooks. It is no surprise that in his early years, he played the drums and had dreams of becoming a professional drummer. He also was an avid pool shooter and won many tournaments throughout the years.

Dave enjoyed the simple things in life that brought him the most happiness. He especially enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with friends at his local bar, sharing stories and laughter. Dave had a deep love for nature and adventure. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors earned him the affectionate nickname “Davey Crockett” from some who knew him well. Whether he was out on the water, on the open road, or sharing stories with friends, Dave valued the moments spent with his family and friends.

He will be best remembered for his sense of humor and his big heart. Dave had a special way of making people laugh and was always willing to lend a hand to those less fortunate. His kindness and ability to brighten someone’s day will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dave’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared, the friendships he cherished, and the many lives he touched through his generosity and spirit. Dave was survived by his daughter Amanda Wasielewski, Brothers Paul Wasielewski and Richard Wasielewski, and Nephews, Jason Wasielewski, Jared Wasielewski, and Justin Wasielewski. He is preceded in death by his parents Olive (Tina) and Raymond (Bosco) Wasielewski.
