Donna J. Agnelly (nee: Skotnicki)

Agnelly, Donna J. age 71, of Waterford, passed away peacefully with family at her side on February 6, 2023. She was born in Hamtramck, Michigan, December 11, 1951, daughter of the late Stanley and Genevieve (nee. Pesta) Skotnicki. Donna spent her early life in Detroit where she achieved her B.A. in Anthropology at Wayne State University. She worked at WaterStone Bank, Waukesha branch, for the past 22 years. Prior to the bank she worked at Hearthside Quilter’s Nook in Hales Corners, where she taught quilting for many years. Donna was a proud member of the “Civil War Round Table” in Milwaukee, where she was the long-time newsletter editor and board member. Donna traveled with the group to many different battlefields over the years and was often a speaker on her trips. She loved reading, teaching, her customers, her cats, and feeding the birds at the bank. Donna enjoyed life and touched many, she will be sadly missed by her all who knew her.
Donna is survived by her children, Brett, Audra, and son-in-law Matthew. Also survived by sisters, Joann, and Karen; nieces Jennifer, and Tammy, and nephew Marc.
Preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law Edward.
A memorial gathering with family and friends will be held at Embassy Suites 1200 S. Moorland Rd. Brookfield, WI 53005 on May 06, 2023 from 2-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Battlefield Trust (Antietam Opportunity), or the Wisconsin Humane Society, memory of Donna.
