Everett Ronald Wood

Everett Ronald Wood, age 86, of Waterford, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at his home. He was born in Milwaukee on September 25, 1938, to the late Everett and Amanda (née Konieczny) Wood. After graduating high school, he attended and graduated from Ripon College with a degree in Education. He devoted most of his career to being a special education teacher for the Milwaukee Public School System. 

Everett was a talented athlete in his youth, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, playing all three in high school and college. He played competitive baseball and softball after college, and coached high school football for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending hours gardening and hanging out with his friends at local establishments in town. 

He is survived by his children, Everett (& Tricia) Wood and Jason Wood; his grandchildren, Everett (& Taylor) Wood, Jordan Wood, and Riley (& Jarrod) Scott, two great-grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Barbara Rietzke along with multiple nieces, a nephew and other family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and his brother, Robert.

Visitation will be held 9:30AM-10:45AM Saturday, May 31, 2025 at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY (305 S. 1st Street Waterford, WI 53185), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM.
