Schmidter, George E. Jr., age 83, of East Troy, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2014. George was born in East Troy on July 2, 1931, the son of the late George and Alma (nee. Sheard) Schmidter Sr.
He married Judith Jankowsky on October 29, 1966 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford. George was a farmer most of his life and also worked as a custodian for the East Troy area schools. He was a lifelong resident of East Troy and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
George is survived by his brothers-in-law: John Jankowsky and Ralph Jankowsky Jr. of Burlington and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife: Judy, son: George Schmidter III, sisters: Orian and Della.
Services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in East Troy with Reverend Tim Kujath officiating. Visitation prior to services in church on Friday from 10-11:45 AM. Burial at German Settlement Cemetery following services. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
