Jean Luerssen

Jean was born on July 8, 1923 in Lindsey, Wood County, to Anna and Max Bredemann. She was a graduate of Waterford Union High School. On June 24, 1961, she was united in marriage to John M. Luerssen.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and worked for several years cleaning at St. Peter’s School. Jean also served as a crossing guard, on the cemetery board, and worked as a cook at the local middle school. She was a longtime resident of Waterford, Wisconsin and will be missed by many, especially as a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

Jean is survived by her daughters Joan (Mark) Parsons, Ashley (Emerson) Bartol; sister Diana (Jerry) Storm, brother Marvin Bredemann, four grandchildren, and ten greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John M. Luerssen and her son John James Luerssen.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (145 6th St, Waterford, WI 53185), with visitation from 9-10:45 a.m. and an 11 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery (4826 WI-83, Waterford, WI 53185). The family invites guests to a luncheon at the church after Jean is laid to rest.
