Lenore A. Zimmerman

Lenore Zimmerman, of Waterford, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2026, at the age of 92.

Lenore was born on March 23, 1934, in Milwaukee to Harry Janusz and Alice Karolek. On June 17, 1957, she married her devoted husband, Edward Zimmerman. Over the years, Lenore and Edward lived in New Berlin, Lac du Flambeau, and Leedsburg, before settling in Waterford. Lenore was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Lenore enjoyed walking, traveling, her dogs, and her precious granddaughter, Tiffany. In retirement, Edward and Lenore wintered in Florida and enjoyed their home on White Sand Lake in Lac du Flambeau.

Lenore was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Zimmerman; her brother, Melvin (Rose) Janusz; brother-in-law Gerald (Rosemary) Kuras; and sister-in-law, Chris Janus.

She is survived by her daughter, Devonne; her granddaughter, Tiffany Schaefer; her brother, Harry Janus Jr. and her beloved dog, Cali.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Croix Hospice.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Lenore’s loving caregivers, Shelley, Nancy, Julie, and Debbie, as well as her St. Croix Hospice team, Kim, Beth, Britt, and Jen.

Visitation will be held 10AM-10:45AM Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY (305 S. 1st Street Waterford, WI 53185), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM.
