Meyer, Lucille B. “Snookie” (nee. Huening) age 84, of Waterford, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Linden Grove in Mukwonago on Monday, January 19, 2015. Lucille was born in Chicago on April 7, 1930 the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (nee. Beck) Huening. On June 22, 1957 she married Harold A. Meyer at St. Thomas Catholic Church. During her early life she worked at Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee and also managed the bookkeeping for her husband Harold’s business and worked at Dick’s Market in Waterford. She was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Church, participating in Christian Woman. Lucille loved her family, she was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. In her spare time enjoyed gardening, cooking and knitting.
Lucille is survived by her daughter: Margaret “Marge” Meyer and Marge’s daughters: Megan and Mikayla Hintz, her brother: Richard”Dick” (Marcia) Huening , Grandchildren: Hannah (Alexei) Strelchenko, Melissa (Jim Oleson) Kurer and Sarah Kurer. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter: Eva, Son-in-law: Ron Kurer, brother-in-law: Gene Meyer, many beloved and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Margaret(nee.Beck) Huening, husband: Harold, daughter: Mary Kurer, and grandson: Joshua Kurer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 South First Street, Waterford. Visitation in Church on Saturday from 9-10:45 AM. Burial in the church cemetery following Mass. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy her family suggests memorials to St. Thomas School.
