Mary Ann Fries (née Tucker), entered her heavenly home on April 2, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Mary Ann was the beloved wife of David Fries. She was a devoted and loving mother to Michelle (Dan) Zakula and Renee (Brandon) Applebee, and a special stepmother to Scott (Stephanie) Fergerson and Karyn (Duane) Gliniecki. She was a dear sister to Marie (Lee) Koch. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents Anne Marie and Glenn Tucker, her sister and brother-in-law Carolyn (William) Haske and other family members and good friends.
Mary Ann was a proud and loving grandmother to Sarah (Jacob) Rhoades, Andrew Zakula, Aaron Applebee, Allie Applebee, Carissa (Brandon) Naramore, Nikayla Fergerson, and Kaidy Gliniecki. She was also a treasured great-grandmother to Ja’kol Rhoades and Ryken and Lorelae Naramore.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved nieces and nephew, Anne Marie, Lisa, and Kevin, as well as many dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, laughter and love.
Mary Ann’s life was a testament to family, faith and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and the deep care she showed to all who knew her.
Memorial visitation will be held 9AM-10:45AM Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at NORWAY LUTHERAN CHURCH (6321 Heg Park Road Wind Lake, WI 53185), with a funeral service to follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Norway Lutheran Church are appreciated.
