Mrs. Michelle L. Wolke

Wolke, Michelle L. (nee. Graetz) age 43, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was born in Burlington on May 29, 1971 the daughter of Dennis and Jacquelyn (nee. Leonard) Graetz. Michelle was a Waterford Union High School Graduate and earned her Bachelors of Education degree at Carroll College. On July 31, 1993 she married Peter J. Wolke at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Big Bend. The couple has three children and has lived in the Waterford area for the past 6 years. After college Michelle was a full time teacher and most recently a substitute teacher at Waterford Union High Schools and Fox River Middle Schools. She taught Religious Education at St. Thomas Catholic Church where she was a member. Michelle’s passion was being a Mother. According to her family she was simply The Best Mom to three awesome children: Matthew, Jordan and Rebecca. She cherished her time spent with her children and their sports and other community and school activities, they were her greatest joy!
Michelle is survived by her loving Husband: Peter “Pete” Wolke, Children: Matthew, Jordan and Rebecca; Parents: Dennis and Jacquelyn Graetz; Sisters and Brother: Dawn (David) Brooks, Julie (Joseph) Schwartz and Paul Graetz; Father-in-law: Thomas Wolke; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her Mother-in-law: Marie Wolke; Grandparents: Herbert (Helen) Graetz and John (Ardith) Leonard.
A Memorial Gathering and Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 3-6 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 South First Street, Waterford, with the Memorial Mass starting at 6:00 PM.
Peter and Michelle’s entire family would like to thank the Waterford Community and Schools for their outstanding support of their family during this difficult time.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials made to Peter Wolke to be distributed as per Michelle’s wishes would be greatly appreciated.
