Mr. Myron A. Knutson

Knutson, Myron A. “Mike”, age 96, of Waterford, passed away at Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove on January 25, 2015. Mike was born on May 25, 1918, the son of the late Martin and Julia (nee. Everson) Knutson. He spent his early life in Cambridge, WI, and taught himself how to play the harmonica. Mike was a star football player in high school, graduating in 1936. On August 12, 1967 he married Barbara J. Roth in Madison, WI. The couple had lived in Milwaukee and Waterford where Mike managed and owned car washes. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Allis. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He enjoyed singing and playing music.
Mike is survived by his wife: Barb, Children: Jim of Middleton, Barb of Madison, Sue of Waterford, Terri of Woodland, WI and Sharon (Van) Hauck of South Carolina. He is also survived by Grandchildren: Mike, Mark, Scott, Holly, Shelley and Kari, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law: Marilyn Knutson, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers and Sisters: Clifford (Dorothy), Alice (Earl) John, Lillian (Gee).
Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2015, from 3-4 PM, AND Visitation also IN the Trinity Evangelical Church, 2500 South 68th Street, West Allis, WI 53219 on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 10-10:45 AM. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial in Western Koshkonong Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2633 Church Street, Cottage Grove, WI 53527 at 3:00 PM in the afternoon on Friday.
