Patricia Drehfal

March 11, 1945 — July 30, 2024

Drehfal, Patricia (nee Gooder) of Oak Creek, passed away peacefully at the age of
79 on July 30, 2024. Patricia was born March 10, 1945 to the late Arthur and Irene
Gooder. She married her sweetheart Phillip Drehfal on December 26, 1964 at St
Frederick’s Parish. Together they raised six daughters in her family home on
Layton Ave in Cudahy. During high school at St. Mary’s, Patricia performed ballet
(where she met her future husband), learned the accordion, and was popular
among her circle of friends. She loved singing in church choirs for much of her life,
never turned down the opportunity to take the kids to a parade, and was an
accomplished cook and baker—no recipe needed. She enjoyed camping with Phil
and the kids up at Castle Rock Lake for over 40 years and later in Briggsville, WI.
Pat was a skilled knitter and gifted quilter. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening,
reading, and had a passion for all things “Vintage.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Laverne LaVelle and Claudine
Schwellinger, and brothers Zeke and Bill Gooder, and her dear cousin Joanie
Kehoe. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Phillip John, her
daughters Dawn Drehfal Klotz, Renee (Mark) Charbonneau, Cheryl (Steve)
Westrick, Heather (Nathan) Staff, Erin (Dave) Emmons, Elizabeth (Joe) Allen, and
grandchildren Valerie, Danny, Rachel, Kaitlin, Evan, Sophia, Alex, Andrew, Lucas,
Emily, Ellie, Sean, and Liam.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Zilber Hospice for their compassionate care
of Patricia.
Private interment, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
