Honey Creek

Patricia Anne Lunde of Honey Creek, WI passed away on Dec 10, 2025. She was born on July 26th, 1946 in Iowa.

Pat was born on a farm and spent much of her time taking care of her family. She moved to WI and worked at M&I Bank where she started as an administrator and became a personal banker. She helped found “Tempo” in Milwaukee which is a Women’s organization that celebrates professional women in business. She always kept up on current events as well promoting ideas to improve the businesses she was involved with.

Pat started her entrepreneurial journey when she took over Bischof’s Modeling Agency in Milwaukee, organizing fashion shows every day. Afterwards she started another company, World-Wide Licensing, which allowed her to travel all over the world. She enjoyed numerous trips to Europe, the UK, bicycling through France and frequent travels to New York City.

Pat eventually settled down back in Honey Creek and wrote a few books including “The Land of Milk and Honey” capturing the rich farm histories of Walworth and Racine County. She was active in the Honey Lake Association and organized community events for kids and residents. She had a historic cream city brick show house in Rochester (The Hoyt House) in which local artisans and crafters made and displayed their creations.

Pat enjoyed gardening and surrounded her 1852 farm with hundreds of tulip bulbs which still adorn the white picket fence. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and anyone who wanted to have a conversation. In the tough winter months, she would frequently go south to Marco Island, Florida to enjoy time on the beach. Pat had many tales of all her travels and the characters she met.

Pat will be dearly missed by everyone that knew her and all the community activities she was involved with. She had loving relationships with Donald Gerczak, Wendell Earle, and Joseph Etten thru the years. Surviving her and missing her stories are her sons, John and David Gerczak; grandchildren, Ella, Olivia, Sable and Quinlin; brother, Art Lunde married to Ruth with son Elliot. A private ceremony will be held with her family.

Pat always had a positive outlook and always brought the best out of everyone she met.
