Patrick T. Forrestal

Patrick "Pat" Thomas Forrestal, 68, of Waterford, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2025.

Born on August 24, 1957, to William Forrestal and Helen (Miller) Forrestal, Pat grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from James Madison High School with the Class of 1975.

Pat developed a deep love for the water at an early age with his father on Lake Michigan, a passion that carried through his life and led him to spend much of his later years enjoying life on Wind Lake and the Fox River in Waterford.

He dedicated 30 years to a career in manufacturing at Briggs & Stratton. In his later years, Pat found great joy in driving for the Muskego School District through Lamer's Bus Lines before retiring in 2018.

Pat lived a life rooted in his Catholic faith. He was known for his infectious personality and natural charisma, traits that will continue to live on through his family for generations to come.

On November 1, 1996, Patrick married the love of his life, Suzanne "Sue" Zemski - Nycz. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and stepfather, a proud grandfather, and a dear friend to many.

Pat is survived by his father, William; his wife, Suzanne; his children, Dan (Rachel) Forrestal and Eric Forrestal; his stepchildren, Tracy (Dan) Buelow and Brad (Mandy) Nycz; and his grandchildren, Cecil, Reese, Ophelia, Dawson, Kole, Karson, Riley, and Logan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his brothers, Michael and David; and his sister, Nancy.

Pat's life was Crowned by love, family, and friendship, and he will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Faith Community (305 S 1st St, Waterford, WI 53185) on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 11am-12:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1p.m. A luncheon for family and friends will be held at Spanky's on 403 S 6th St, Waterford, WI 53185 following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, by clicking on the link, in Pat's name to the American Lung Association in support of research and education related to sleep apnea and COPD.
