Beere, Richard F. “Dick”, age 99, of the Town of Dover, passed away at home on December 14, 2022, just 10 days away from his 100th birthday. Dick was born in Racine, the son of the late Frank Conrad and Elizabeth Clara (nee. Giannoni) Beere. A graduate of Washington Park High School in Racine, he continued to obtain his apprentice license for tool and die making. Dick then served 3 years in the United States Army at Winsford Cheshire, England, where he met his wife, Gladys M. Spann. Upon returning to the states, Dick and Gladys were married in Racine on August 31, 1946. They lived in Racine where Dick was a draftsman for Massey Harris. Dick formed Beere Tool, later known as Beere Precision Products, which he owned and managed until 2020. During his time as owner, he authored twenty-one patents. Dick and Gladys moved to their Town of Dover farm in the late 1960’s where he enjoyed animal husbandry. Dick and family would travel to Oklahoma and Kansas to purchase new bloodlines to upgrade the beef herd. These trips west were enjoyed by the entire family.
Survived by children, Paul, Helen (Rick) Peterson, Edward, John (Ellen), and Tom (Rhonda); grandchildren, Rebecca (Chad) Henderson, Ben (Shelley) Beere, Emily (Tom) Cetta, Matt (Kim) Peterson, Ann Peterson, Richard (Jacqeline) Beere, Kevin (Vanessa) Beere, David Beere, Madison Beere, Mikayla (Kyle) Lazarides, Spann Beere, Jett Beere, Joey Zimmerman, Abby (Dan) Peterson, and Matt Zimmerman; great-grandchildren, Jack, Sam, Clara, Max, Leo, Peyton, Kami, Michael, Frank, Luna, Navy, Cashton, Chandler, Cannon, Coakley, and Silas; and by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gladys, daughter-in-law Barbara, brothers, Bud (Pat), and Ed.
Visitation in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 South First Street, Waterford, WI 53185 on Friday December 23, 2022, from 10-11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial in the church cemetery to follow. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy family suggests memorials to St. Thomas Church. A heartfelt “Thank You” to Lisa Hilgenberg for her care of our father and grandfather over the past many years.
