Born to Eternal Life Saturday, May 30th, 2026. Reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Ruth (nee Martin) and son Steven (Kristi). Loving father of Bruce (Susan), Alan (Amy), and Roger Jr. “Rod” (Tobie). Dearest Grandfather/Bop-Bop of Emily, Allison, Sarah, Amy, E.J. Joel, and Kayleigh. Proud great-grandfather of Jack and Lily. Dear brother of Jerry, Robert “Bob,” Cynthia, and Carla. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

“Rog” graduated from Juneau High School and attended MATC prior to a long and successful career in the insurance industry. He was a larger-than-life figure to his family, especially his four sons, whom he mentored, taught, played alongside with, and coached in all areas of life and athletics. Roger was a gifted basketball player throughout his life, often competing with others many years his junior. During the 1970’s and 80’s he was a constant presence at the Eagles Club in Milwaukee and Washington Playground in West Allis, and at many other municipal and intramural venues.

Roger always had a smile and a kind word for his family and friends and was a loving source of support and encouragement to everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed and remembered.

Roger’s life will be celebrated with a private family service and burial.
