Roland W. Decker, 88, of Waterford, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at Birchrock Memory Care Facility. Born in Milwaukee on November 19, 1937, to Lawrence and Florence Decker, Roland was the youngest of six children.
On June 18, 1960, Roland married the love of his life, Helen Joel. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years and raised three children. A man of many stories and a quick wit, Roland was happiest when traveling with Helen, working in his woodshop, or taking pride in his Cadillac. He cherished his family deeply and was known for his playful spirit and the joy he found in joking with his grandchildren.
Roland is survived by his loving children, Roberta (Stephen) Sparks and Bill Decker; and his grandchildren, Tanya (TJ) Kloeffler, Jamie Sparks, James Russel, and William Decker. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law, Donald (Linda) Joel and Bill Denman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Decker; his son, Harvey Decker; his parents; his siblings, Lawrence, Dale, and June; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at The Cotton Exchange (345 Hickory Hollow Rd, Waterford, WI 53185). A memorial service will follow at 1:30 PM.
