Ronald F. Peterson, age 67, longtime resident of Waterford, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026.
Ron was born on June 27, 1959, in Racine, WI, the son of the late Robert M. and Claire M. (Hegeman) Peterson. His family later moved to Connecticut, where he graduated from Canton High School. In his 20s, Ronnie returned to Wisconsin, where he made his home.
Ron was an avid traveler, with Jamaica being one of his favorite destinations. He enjoyed browsing garage sales and flea markets, always searching for his next interesting find. A true collector at heart, he had a passion for discovering and collecting unique items.
In 1991, Ron met Debbie Eggert, the love of his life who brought him happiness and completeness. The two worked together at Michael’s House of Prime on Pewaukee Lake and have been together ever since.
Ron was a natural leader, whether he was in the kitchen as a chef or serving his community. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors, whether it meant cutting the grass, fixing something, or simply being there when someone needed him. He was a lover of life, and his family meant the world to him.
Ron and Debbie shared a love of nature and enjoyed taking walks together. Those quiet moments spent side by side will forever be cherished by Debbie and all who loved him.
Ron is survived by his loving partner, Debbie Eggert; his children, Bonnie Rendall, Rachel Peterson, Erica Eggert, and Robert “R.J.” Peterson (Madison Charshaf); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Rene and Rosemary; brother, Bob; nieces, nephews; other relatives; and many dear friends.
Ron will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life is pending at this time.
Mealy-Stencel Funeral Home is proudly serving the Peterson family.
