Shirley Jane Gunderson

Shirley Jane Gunderson, 89 years old of Waterford, WI passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Waterford Senior Living. She was born March 5, 1936 to the late Leslie and Sarah Gehrand in Racine, WI. On April 14, 1956, Shirley was united in marriage with her husband, Dean. Through the years, Shirley was employed at Burmeister Sod Farm, the Bank of Burlington, Horner’s Sod Farm, the City of Burlington, and the Pharmacy Station where she made many friends. She loved going out to eat at Country Rose, Cafe 36, Crossover, and Bruno’s. Shirley was a member of Norway Lutheran Church and enjoyed her many travels with friends and family. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Survivors include, her sons, Scott (Lisa), Michael (Chris), Mark (Lori) Gunderson; daughter, Julie Gunderson; 9 grandchildren, Monica, Lee, Dena, Michael, Joshua, Hannah, Rebecca, Evan, and Ross; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren - with another on the way; brothers, Charles (Charlotte), David (Dee), and Robert (Ellen) Gehrand; sister, Mary Strouf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Arla Laupan and Karen Gunderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean; daughter-in-law, Karen Gunderson; grandson, Jeremiah Gunderson; infant granddaughter; sister, Nancy Ball; brothers-in-law, Eugene Ball, Jack Strouf, and David Gunderson.

Visitation will be held 9:30AM-11:15AM Monday, March 2, 2026 at NORWAY LUTHERAN CHURCH (6321 HEG PARK ROAD. WIND LAKE, WI 53185), with a funeral service to follow at 11:30AM.
