September 2, 1940 — May 18, 2023

Survived by his loving daughters Kathy (Kurt) Wagner, Debbie Ludwig (Lance Braun), Cindy (Marc) Loppnow, grandchildren Andrew and Carly Wagner, Parker and Olivia Ludwig, Maddi and Ella Loppnow, sister Colleen Scannell, sisters-in-law Jackie Holcomb, Judy (Tom) Verkuilen, Joy Fauk, Jenny (Keith) Bloemendaal, Jill (Pat) Seeger, brother-in-law Don Day and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jerryl Scannell, his parents Vivian (VanDrisse) and John Scannell, in-laws Veronica (Boehme) and George Fauk, granddaughter Sophie Loppnow, sister Patricia Marcolini and brother Jeff Scannell, sisters-in-law Jean Blahnik and Joan Day, brothers-in-law Richard Marcolini and Clifford Holcomb.
Tom was born on September 2, 1940, in Green Bay. He was a 1958 graduate of Premontre High School. After high school he moved to Milwaukee to pursue a career as an electrician. He worked many years for Tonsor Electric and Pace Electric until he retired in 2001.

Tom was a kind, positive, gracious, loving person. Throughout his life he treasured spending time with friends and family playing baseball, bowling, golfing, traveling, attending sporting events and celebrating his Irish Heritage. He was an original Green Bay Packer season ticket holder and spent many game days at the Frozen Tundra.

He cherished both his immediate and extended family. He was a devoted husband, caregiver and loved being a father and a grandfather.

His final words to his children and grandchildren were to “Be Kind and Good People.” This defines the way he lived his entire life.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Aurora St Luke's for the care, compassion, smiles, and songs given to Tom over the last few months.

He was passionate about the importance of organ donation and the gifts of life that his family was blessed to receive. He would urge you to be an organ donor and sign your drivers license to give another family the gift of life and more time together.
